How can we translate your molecular immune profile into a personalized diagnosis or treatment?

The field of immunology is undergoing a rapid data acquisition revolution. Never before have we been able to query with such detail and depth the molecular makeup of our immune system. However there is a huge gap between the data acquisition and its interpretation. We are studying new pattern mining and machine learning techniques to provide functional interpretation to immunological data. This interpretation enables translation of raw data into actionable results. A central line of research in this manner is the molecular interaction complex between the MHC molecule, the immunogenic epitope and the T-cell receptor. Within this international field, we were one of the first labs to demonstrate the feasibility of using machine learning to link T-cell receptor amino acid sequence to their target epitope.
