Adlit (Vlaio SBO) was a project focusing on the analysis and enhancement of children’s and adolescents’ advertising literacy (especially concerning online advertising). In this project, MIOS studied how adolescents deal with personalised ads on social media, for example development of knowledge, critical processing and privacy concerns through adolescence, the influence of peer communication and personality characteristics on the susceptibility to personalised advertising.


In this context MIOS developed an animated video as an educational tool to make adolescents aware of the use of personal data for commercial purposes:
